Decision Made!

So, you have made the decision! You’ve decided to increase your fitness levels by engaging in exercise.

What does that really mean for u? What do you think are the necessary requirements to be fit and healthy? Is it just a stroll along the beach or promenade? Is it a once a week exercise class that you go to and not even break a sweat? Is it a pill, drink or food regime that u take or enter into for that fix. Or do u just starve yourself looking to lose that weight.

Getting fit and exercising is a decision and commitment that you have  to make.

Understand that:

  • Taking a stroll along a beach or promenade is only beneficial to the elderly or inactive person.
  • Taking an exercise class once a week, standing at the back and not fully engaging in the exercises is a waste of time.
  • That pill, drink or food regime is only good for that quick fix but may not necessarily be healthy for you.
  • And starving yourself can do more harm than good. The body usually kicks into survival mode so when you do eat, it will store it up as fat, probably under your skin to be used at a later time.

So, what exercise is good for you? Consult your physician and speak to a fitness professional so that a program can be created to fit your specific needs.

In order for it all to work, you must be dedicated to obtaining that health or fitness peak.

Until next week, I wish you good Spiritual and Physical Health

Become a Possibility Thinker

If you were to look up the dictionary definition of possibility, you will find words such as potential, chance and opportunity.

It is no coincidence that the bible teacher tells us that in order to inherit the Kingdom, we must become as a little child, because a child represents Possibility, Unlimited Potential and Unprecedented Opportunity!

Observe a child learning to walk, riding a bike, or even better being told NO. Cuts, bruises, falls, and advice mean nothing in the face of their pursuit of possibility.

The great dichotomy of life is the lesson of accepting its experiences without them curbing your enthusiasm and numbing your faith.

You can eliminate the sting of temporary defeat by moving forward, stay focused on possibility, chance and opportunity, and the habit of negative thinking will disappear.

Yes You Can!

The Man Who Thinks He Can
Walter D. Wintle

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t;
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the word we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will,
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outcasted, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Money Matters Part 3

One of the best tips I could ever give you for the fast-track learning of managing your money, is to go on holiday!

WHY? Your relationship with money automatically changes.

  1. You work out the best exchange rate so you get value for your hard-earned money.
  2. You spend wisely because you only have a fixed amount of money.
  3. You constantly mentally change money back into your home currency to see how much you would be spending at home to ensure you are getting value.
Bring these habits home and you will never go short.
Change the nature of your relationship with money and you will change the results you get with it!

How do I live my life on purpose?

Have you ever been in a situation when you knew you needed to do something or act in a particular way, and when it came down to it you did the exact opposite?

There is a simple explanation for this, but it does take time and persistence to get it right.

It is well known that it is impossible to achieve success on the outside, without it first being formed on the inside.

We are creatures of habit and as such, over 80% of our thinking is reflex, and based on past experience and old habits.

What then is the greatest barrier to thinking and acting correctly?

Taking the time to pause, reflect, choose, decide and then act on what we think.

If you are wondering why you have always got the same results, its as a result of always thinking the same way.

Creating the change you want to see will only come from thinking and acting in an intentional way on an ongoing basis.

So here are some simple steps to get you started:

1. Decide what you want to change

2. Develop a plan

3. Think and act inline with your desire and plan all the time.

Teamwork makes the Dream Work!

Have a great day!

Navigating the Food Maze!

Have you been trying unsuccessfully to navigate the maze of the food world?  You know that you should eat properly, have a balanced diet buy nutritionally sound food but you don’t know what that means.

What do they really mean by Carbohydrates, Protein and Fats?  What does that really mean for you, interms of your eating habits and what your doctor recommends for you.

As always, make sure you consult your doctor and ensure that you have no health issues and or deficiencies.  Overloading on one particular food group is never good.  Finding the right balance is always important.

The first step after consultation is to determine the requirements of your body.  What does you body need in order to function optimally, keeping in mind your type of lifestyle.  If you are a very active person you will require more energy than if you lead a sedentary lifestyle.  Once you are able to calculate this information as your starting point, you can then determine what in your diet to increase or decrease depending on what you are physically trying to achieve.

Next time we will go more indepth into the various concepts.

Until next week, I wish you good Spiritual and Physical health.

Can you choose to forgive?

I had the opportunity to watch a film called Gnomio and Juliet.
It’s a take on the classic Shakespeare story, but the way the story is presented got me thinking.

The foundation of problems in relationships can be compared to a tree’s root system, as a problem left alone long enough, grows deep and branches out.

In order to get rid of an unwanted tree, you cannot just trim the leaves, you have to dig up the root because if the root remains it can survive and regenerate.

Gnomio and Juliet illustrate this brilliantly in that the foundation of the problem started long before they existed, but the divisions now exceed the long forgotten original problem, and has become all about the colours blue and red!

When you cannot forgive, it makes no difference what the other person says or does, your perception of them will always be tinted by the blue or red lens that you view them through.

In this way the old saying ‘A house divided against itself cannot stand’ holds true, as being unforgiving does more damage to you, dividing you against yourself, than it does to the person you refuse to let go.

Forgiveness, letting it go and releasing others, brings  a level peace that cannot be quantified, and has the ability to impact your health and overall relationships.

Choose to Forgive, Let it Go!

Money Matters Part 2

What makes ants so successful and why we are encouraged to study them is their level of FOCUS!
There are different types of ant, all with different functions, and you will never find a worker and trying to fulfil the purpose of a queen ant or vice versa.
The worker ants sole purpose and focus is  to forage for food and leave a trail of scent to good food sources which other ants can follow.

In matters of money, it is wise to M.Y.O.B. or Mind Your Own Business.

This is what the ant does: ‘Nobody has to tell it what to do.
All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provision, Proverbs 6:8.

Simply put, the ant doesn’t go short. The ant doesn’t run out of money!

Forage for your own food and develop a habit of excellence that others coming after you can follow.
